Mr Birdi is clearly a brilliant surgeon. Equally important from the patient’s standpoint is that he has excellent people skills and keeps you informed every step of the way. My double heart bypass operation performed by Mr Birdi went like clockwork. For me this was a huge personal life threatening crisis but Mr Birdi gained my confidence from the outset, spoke with me a lot and turned my crisis into something I was able to manage, get through and then carry on with my life. I am indebted to him.
